Press Brake Automation can work wonders when you consistently bend the same parts, have adequate volume of piece parts to bend and are looking for a better way to compete with growing global competition. Robotic press brake cells are extremely reliable, predictable, consistent and are known to reduce your per piece costs in nearly half. JMT has partnered with Aceita robotics to develop and implement their Robotic Integrated Bending Solutions (RIBS) along with our press brake solutions. Each automation station is customized from standard layouts to best suit each customer application. We start with a proven layout and make modifications as needed; to meet customer floor space, part size, process criteria and expectations. We then use Aceita’s proprietary press brake robotics (RIBS) offline programming software (developed over several years, in conjunction with Alma-Cam’s industry leading “Robowave” software) to build a customers’ work cell in a virtual environment. Calibrated during installation, this virtual cell closely reflects the actual production floor installation; which allows rapid testing and programming of new parts without interrupting daily production. This press brake robotics (RIBS) software uses accurate factory produced robot models and peripheral equipment developed using 3D CAD packages; so the output programs from this software transfer directly into the work cell on the customers’ floor, with little to no touch up needed on the shop floor after installation.
