JMT hires industry veteran, Ron Backhaus to serve as both Midwestern Regional Sales Manager for its metal fabrication equipment and National Product Specialist for Plate Rolls.
“Ron Backhaus is an expert in plate and profile rolling machines. He knows more about variable geometry plate rolls than anyone else in the industry,” says Jared Peterson, JMT President. “The knowledge he brings with him will be a great asset for our company and our customers.”
Plate rolls have been Backhaus’ major focus in the metal forming industry since 2004. Prior to joining JMT, Backhaus founded Davi North America and served as its President until 2009. During his tenure, he built a team of professionals who worked together to achieve goals and targets that were never before achievable, growing sales in excess of $65M in 3 years.
Backhaus then started his own company and was the exclusive North American importer of Sertom dishing and flanging machines and plate rolls. During this time, Ron sold and installed the largest plate roll in North America. This machine stood 3 stories high and weighed in at 1.15 Million lbs. It was delivered on 22 trucks.
Ron also supplied a precision automated tank manufacturing system which makes tanks out of coiled stock up to ½” thickness.
Backhaus is constantly pushing himself to learn more and stay current on metal fabrication technology. One way he does this is by staying involved in a number professional associations including:
